Jim serves as the President and Managing Partner of ProBioPharm.  Prior to founding ProBioPharm Jim was the Global Leader of Business Development for Merck & Company’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division ($7 B Revenue 2009).  Jim spent 21 years at Merck and over 10 years in Merck’s Business Development groups completing business transactions around the world.  In addition to Business Development, Jim served as General Manager of Merck’s Japanese Licensee Business ($100M in Revenue) and Executive Director of Asia Pacific Operations.

Jim began his Merck career in Quality Control, and progressed through various leadership roles in Manufacturing, Business Development, and Operations.  Jim sits on several boards and was the Vice President of New York Pharma Forum (a Japan Pharma Support Organization) and Vice-Chairman of SC Bio.

​Jim earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
